The slaughter of Qurban livestock takes place within a specific time frame in the last month of the Muslim calendar. At Eid al - Adha, Muslims must sacrifice an animal within the first 3 days, which start with salat al-Eid or right after the morning prayer of the first day, then ends with sunset of the third day. Animals can be slaughtered during daytimes and nights however daytimes are preferable. This means that we should all be trying to perform this type of worship if possible, as it is an action that The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) established and continued to perform during Eid al-adha, which is shown in religious documents.
